Before installation

The details worth considering early

Foundation and drainage

A level, sound and properly drained base gives the sauna the right start. An existing suitable foundation may reduce the work needed.

Electrical supply

Each sauna needs a dedicated supply back to the fuse board, completed and certified by an electrician. This can be included as part of the installation.

Planning permission

A domestic garden sauna will often fall under exempt development rules, but special site conditions can change this. Check with your local authority if you are unsure.
